Dragon: The paranoid quest For the spider of time Led me to the nest of dreams Where everything is what it means, what it seems Here truth drops are dripping from the sad stalagmites of the night sky. Undeserved silences are pinned on my skin Like medals for an ongoing battle The child made of stars slowly shapes up He's moved by the silk of the spider Child: I know why you're crying Cold-blooded beast Mournful Black dragon As old as the sea Dragon: Save me if you can Turn me into a man Dragon: Free me from myself Child: Oh, Dragon Dragon: As nothing seems to matter Child: Limitless not free, That's what you are meant to be Dragon: Lost in the Dreamers’ Nest Lost, in a demon’s jest Lost, Dreaming without rest Lost, A curse that tomorrow casts Dragon: I don't know hope, I don’t know fear I barely know what is Now, what is Here Cities rise up, empires fall down All around just a silent sound Child: Obsidian Dragon How so naive? Your mere existence Is what makes me real Dragon: Hear my burning cry Please just let me die Child: (I) Can’t save you from yourself Dragon: Please, master Child: You’re spirit and you’re matter Dragon/Child: Limitless not free, Child: That's what you are meant to be, Dragon: That’s what I’m meant to be Child: Ghost of the dreamer's nest (The Moment is what lasts forever) Dragon: Lost, in a demon’s jest (I sense I’m close to the answer) Child: Ghost of the Orion’s belt (The Moment is now and is never) Dragon: Lost, The immortals cannot rest! Child: The immortals cannot rest! Dragon: It's almost dawn The child is dying The spider bites His pulsar heart, The scene is strange So close, yet so far A nova explodes from the neutron star Dragon/Child: Time has been stabbed in the heart Dragon/Child: The universe goes back to the start Child: You see, you are close to the answer Dragon/Child: And I’m included and secluded at once Child: The moment is what lasts forever Dragon/Child: I can feel myself becoming stars Dragon/Child: Now, now I can see, Child: The moment is now and it’s never Dragon/Child: I’m the moment, I’m eternal, I’m free, Dragon/Child: Now, now I can see Dragon/Child: That the child, the child is me!
